Maryam Al Mazrouee: Ever since I was a child my pencils and papers would be carried out with me wher- ever I go. I would simply just draw whatever comes to my mind. I would keep hiding my drawings from other people. Then when I was 13 years old, I came to love graphic design. It started with me when I was in- troduced to the computer. Through this I developed a love for art however I had never thought about it as a major before. when I studied at Zayed University, I begin to think about art as a future career and major because I find my personality through art and design. When I enter the world of art in general, I let myself and my imagination loose and I can fly really high. I can fly with my imagina- tion and thoughts to a place where I’m able to express my ideas and feelings with just the simple lines, shapes and marks I create. I am passionate about art because art helps us to think in a different way. In art you can be unique and smart and proud of yourself. That is why I chose interior design as my concen- tration because I can turn people’s attention to what I want to tell them visually.
